WHAT IS SNORING?  Snoring is when the tongue partially blocks your airway.  This causes vibration of the soft tissue in the throat, which produces the snoring sound.

WHAT IS SLEEP APNEA?  Unlike snoring which results in partial blockage, Sleep Apnea is caused by the complete blockage of the airway during sleep resulting in no air reaching the lungs for ten to ninety seconds.  The result is:

  • Tiredness and fatigue

  • Irritability

  • Drowsiness

Medical complications may be linked to Sleep Apnea due to inadequate oxygenation of the blood. Such as:

  • Heart Disease

  • High Blood Pressure

  • Hypertension

  • Diabetes

  • Alzheimer’s Disease

HOW COMMON IS SNORING?  60% of all adults over 40 snore.  It is a major cause of sleep disruption and stress.  It is reported that 27% of all couples sleep in separate bedrooms as a result of snoring.

HOW COMMON IS SLEEP APNEA?  It is estimated that 18 million Americans have sleep apnea.  We have found that many of these individuals suffer from:

  • High Blood Pressure

  • Diabetes

  • Overweight

  • Lethargy

  • A variety of conditions associated with long-term body breakdown due to years of oxygen depletion

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T SEEK HELP? The consequences of Sleep Apnea arise slowly overtime without early detection.  Common sense tells you that lack of oxygen to the blood and tissues year after year, night after night, could result in a slow deterioration and breakdown of the body.

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF SLEEP APNEA?  Common side effects may include:

  • Daytime fatigue

  • Falling asleep while at work, on the phone or driving

  • Depression

  • Irritability

  • Learning and memory difficulties

  • Sexual dysfunction

  • Contributes to High Blood Pressure

  • Diabetes

  • Headaches

ALTERNATIVE APPROACHES:   The CPAP forces air past your tongue and into your airway and can be adjusted to meet your condition.  Nothing is more effective than the CPAP and we recommend it.  If you can tolerate it.  The majority of people who have had this treatment prescribed cannot use it.

There is a long list of issues that people find difficult with the CPAP.  The Full Breath Solution is the most effective alternative solution to the CPAP.  It opens your airway naturally and increases the airflow to your lungs.  The Full Breath Solution blocks the upward and backward movement of the tongue, which is the cause of snoring and Sleep Apnea.  We have found it to be the most comfortable and effective appliance for eliminating snoring and Sleep Apnea available.

The Full Breath Solution is built on the theory of inhibiting the upward and backward movement of the tongue which causes snoring and Sleep Apnea.

The Full Breath Solution is the most comfortable and effective appliance for eliminating snoring and Sleep Apnea on the market.  It covers the top teeth much like a retainer.

Several thousand people have been treated successfully with The Full Breath Solution.

The Most Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO I SEE THIS AND UNDERSTAND WHY YOUR TREATMENT IS SO EXCEPTIONAL AND SO EFFECTIVE?  At the appointment Dr. Gonzales will evaluate your breathing, provide you with data regarding your air flow and breathing issues, review your sleep study (if you have one) and demonstrate how The Full Breath Solution performs, evaluating its effectiveness for you.  All your questions will be answered while you are with the dentist.

WILL IT REPLACE THE CPAP?  The CPAP forces air part your tongue and into your airway and can be adjusted to meet your condition and always force the air into your lungs.  Nothing is more effective than the CPAP and we recommend it, if you can live with it.  The MAJORITY of people prescribed this treatment, cannot accept it.  There is a long list of issues that people find difficult for them with the CPAP.  Should this be your case, then The Full Breath Solution is the most effective solution after the CPAP.  It will open your airway, increase the airflow to your lungs and reduce your apneic events if you have OSA or Sleep Apnea.

WHY IS THIS CONSIDERED THE NEXT GENERATION SOLUTION TO SNORING AND SLEEP APNEA?  Nothing like it exists.  There are over 40 dental mouthpieces offered for snoring and Sleep Apnea.  They are called Mandibular Repositioning Appliances.  The theory behind these appliances is that they reposition the mandible (move the lower jaw bone forward).  The difference between one appliance to the other is that they use different system to move the lower jaw forward.  Some use screws and tension and some use elastic bands and tension.   All of these appliances cover the upper teeth and lower teeth and have a hinge in the front or back.

THE FULL BREATH SOLUTION is not built on the theory of moving the jawbone.  It is built on the theory of inhibiting the upward and backward movement of the tongue which is what causes snoring and the blockage of the airway which leads to Sleep Apnea.  It just covers the top teeth, is not bulky or uncomfortable and it is effective, extremely effective while being easy to wear.  The state-of-the-art design allows it to be the most comfortable for the patient and the most effective for the patient.

SURGERY INVOLVED?  Absolutely not!  THE MOST COMFORTABLE SOLUTION TO SNORING, CPAP INTOLERANCE AND SLEEP APNEA AVAILABLE.  It is a small mouthpiece worn on the upper teeth only and custom created to meet your specific night breathing needs to maximize airflow to your lungs and to prevent snoring, while dramatically reducing or eliminating Sleep Apnea.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A MOUTH PIECE?  If, during your consultation visit you decide to pursue treatment we will begin the process that same day.  At your next visit (within 2 weeks). You will receive the custom fitted FULL BREATH SOLUTION.  From this point forward, it now depends upon you and your personal needs.  The number of visits varies by individual.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? HOW DOES IT WORK?  Snoring and Sleep Apnea is created when the tongue rolls back and blocks the airway.  THE FULL BREATH SOLUTION inhibits the tongue from rising and rolling back over the airway.  When you wear THE FULL BREATH SOLUTION, you usually feel just the mouthpiece on your teeth, like wearing a mouth guard.  During sleep, your tongue will want to rise and it will then encounter the transpalatal bar, which will deter your tongue from rising.  This is the main theory behind THE FULL BREATH SOLUTION.  Based upon your needs, there are further subtle adjustments that can be made to control your tongue movement and prevent snoring.

IS IT GUARANTEED?  More than one thousand people have been treated successfully with THE FULL BREATH SOLUTION.  The latest technology is used to measure your upper airway and calculate airflow to your lungs.  This is done by using acoustic reflection and digital imaging and it proves a clear measurement for the doctor to monitor our progress.  This is a science that delivers airflow your body and cells needs, airflow that is now being diminished due to snoring and poor night breathing.  There is no guesswork.  There is little in medicine, dentistry of life that can be guaranteed.  But the initial consultation will determine if THE FULL BREATH SOLUTION is the most likely right for you.  It has been right for nearly every single patient, because the technology and science involved allows Dr. Gonzales to deliver results nearly every single time.
